Consulting for large telecommunications companies

Read the plant.
Reconcile the record.

DC Technology Solutions helps carriers settle what is actually installed in central offices and data centers. We use artificial intelligence to read photographs, video, and other site media — detecting equipment, judging whether it is in service, and matching that evidence to operations support systems.

Floor evidence Operations support system
  • Optical shelf Bay 4 · photographed Optical shelf In service
  • Edge router Bay 4 · photographed Edge router Spare
  • Rectifier shelf Bay 2 · photographed No matching record Exception
  • Not observed Aisle C · no media Fiber panel On the books

Illustrative. Findings are written so an operator can act on a place, a piece of equipment, and a record.

A bay photographed well is evidence.

In service is a condition, not a checkbox left behind.

An exception is useful when it names a place, a piece of gear, and a record.

01 — Practice

Inventory that begins with the floor.

Large carriers carry more than one inventory. There is the plant standing in the central office, the asset the capital plan still names, and the record in the operations support system. They drift. Decommissioning is partial. Spares are marked active. Retired frames stay on the books because no one walked the aisle with the record in hand.

The cost shows up as slow audits, contested counts, and field teams sent to confirm what a camera could have settled. DC Technology Solutions designs inventory programs in which site media is treated as evidence. Artificial intelligence does the first reading. Consultants and carrier staff decide what the exceptions mean.

  1. Detect

Identify frames, shelves, cards, and cabinets from photographs, video, and related media of data centers and central offices.

  2. Determine

Judge whether detected equipment is in service, spare, or idle, and say plainly where the evidence is thin.

  3. Match

Reconcile each finding with the operations support systems and asset records the carrier already runs.

02 — Method

Four steps, from aisle to system of record.

  1. 01

    Capture

Site media is collected to a standard: location, angle, and the identifiers a later reader will need.

  2. 02

    Detect

Models and specialists name the equipment and its place in the bay, rather than trusting the label in the record.

  3. 03

    Judge

In-service status is inferred from what the media shows and corroborated against operational evidence where it exists.

  4. 04

    Reconcile

Findings are matched to the OSS. Exceptions are specific enough for engineering, finance, and the field to act on.

03 — Company

A consultancy for the physical plant.

DC Technology Solutions is a consulting firm for large telecommunications operators. The work sits where the central office and the operations support system are supposed to agree, and often do not.

We are engaged for inventory outcomes, not for a model demonstration. The question we are hired to answer is practical: what is installed, what is working, and what the system of record should say.

Tell us the inventory question.

A short note is enough. Name the offices, the systems of record, and what you are trying to settle. We read every message sent to the firm.
